About Us
In Pakistan, one in six children dies before the age of five. Each day, around 1,100 children under the age of five die from diarrhea and illnesses related to water, sanitation and hygiene. An additional 11 million children are victims of child labor due to the disastrous socio-economic situation of the country. There are an estimated 1.5 million children living on the streets of Pakistan in abject poverty, with little or no contact with their families. 90% of these children are subjected to sexual abuse, drugs, violence and kidnapping.
At Gehwara-e-Aman, we believe that children are the very essence of the future. What they become tomorrow is essentially the outcome of how they are raised and nurtured today. As the leading Children's Welfare Organization in the vicinity of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and located at the intersection of community and life, Gehwara-e-Aman is a life-affirming journey that builds on the richness and power of lifelong values. We have been providing young people the values and skills they need to become exceptional community leaders.
Our goals are to shape the way they live their lives and teach them the fundamentals of morals, values and ethics, healthy living and cultural acceptance. Curious to find out more about us and how you can get involved? Browse our website and get in touch with us today.
